Clinician Training Programs

Touch Bionics offers comprehensive educational programs for certified prosthetists/orthotists (CPOs), occupational therapists (OTs), and technicians at our Touch Life Centre™. There are two training facilities located in Hilliard, Ohio and Livingston, Scotland.  Our workshops cover training and certification in the proper use of Touch Bionics' products to help ensure the best possible patient outcomes. As part of the program, our clinical team provides dedicated training for your initial patient fitting for i-limb quantum, i-limb revolution, i-limb ultra, and i-digits quantum. Training courses are free of charge.

North America Touch Life Center - Touch Link Academy

We offer the Touch Link Academy (TLA) training programs at our Touch Life Center in Hilliard, Ohio.  Clinical training includes:

i-limb quantum, i-limb revolution, and i-limb ultra advanced workshop: 

1.5 day program covers:

  • Patient selection criteria
  • Features, functions, and components
  • Assessing expectations and goal setting
  • Use of Touch Bionics’ mobile apps and desktop software to maximize function and personalize the prosthesis
  • Review stages and approaches of therapy ensuring the best possible outcomes
  • Fitting and training techniques
  • Optimal billing and coding procedures to maximize practice revenue
  • Cover options
  • General support

i-digits quantum advanced workshop:

3 day program covers:

  • Patient selection criteria
  • Features, functions, and components
  • Assessing expectations and goal setting
  • Use of Touch Bionics’ mobile apps and desktop software to maximize function and personalize the prosthesis
  • Review stages and approaches of therapy ensuring the best possible outcomes
  • Fitting and training techniques for partial hand patients
  • Understand i-digits fabrication process
  • Optimal billing and coding procedures to maximize practice revenue

Touch Link Academy's training programs are led by our friendly staff of clinicians, fabricators and technicians. We care about our customers and strive to create a warm, inviting environment during your stay.

Continuing Education 

Attendees are eligible to receive continuing education credits for the courses they attend. The learning audiences and prerequisites include:

Certified Prosthetists

Approved by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics & Prosthetics (ABC), our prosthetics courses are given at an advanced level to ensure all participants are able to gain basic understanding to the fitting and training process. Interested attendees must provide their ABC # upon registration. 

Therapists

Approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), our therapy courses are given at an introductory level to ensure all participants are able to gain basic understanding to the fitting and training process. No additional prerequisites are required.

International Touch Life Centre

Our Touch Life Centre in Livingston, Scotland provides training and patients fittings for all regions outside of North America. Clinical training includes:
